Fernando embodies what investors and builders call true founder–market fit. He brings together three profiles that almost never coexist in one person: hands-on construction experience, years building software for the AEC industry, and deep, production-level expertise in AI and machine learning. Individually, any one of these backgrounds is rare. Together, they form the backbone of ConstructAI's technical advantage.
He is a computational design leader and machine learning engineer with a Master's degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey (Summa Cum Laude), and a career spent working directly with the tools, data, and constraints that define real construction workflows. Fernando has lived on both sides of the problem — in the field and behind the code — giving him an unusually precise understanding of where software breaks down and how AI can actually deliver value.
Fernando has spent years developing AEC-focused software, working deeply with CAD/CAM systems, parametric and computational design, geometry processing, and automation pipelines. On top of that foundation, he has built advanced AI systems using modern ML stacks, MLOps, and LLM-based architectures — not as experiments, but as production systems engineered for accuracy, reliability, and scale.
At ConstructAI, Fernando leads all technical and AI architecture. He designs the intelligence behind our automation engines, translates complex engineering logic into machine-readable systems, and ensures that every model, pipeline, and integration performs under real-world construction constraints. His work is what allows ConstructAI to move beyond demos and into tools engineers actually trust.
Fernando is not learning this market — he comes from it. Long before founding ConstructAI, he was already on a focused quest to eliminate inefficiencies in construction, exploring how advanced AI could reshape building workflows. Today, that work has crystallized into a clear mission: bring certainty earlier in the construction process and build a more efficient industry for designers, contractors, and end customers.
